What is Grok?
Grok is best known for real-time answers that draw on the web and on posts on X, and it is built into the X app as well as its own apps. Grok Imagine creates images and videos, and voice mode lets you talk to it.
The current flagship model is Grok 4.7, released on September 21, 2026, and Grok Voice 3.0 followed on October 14. Grok Build is SpaceXAI's coding tool, and Grok Bot, launched in beta in August 2026, runs agents with their own cloud computer on SuperGrok plans.
SpaceX acquired xAI in February 2026, and the AI business now operates as SpaceXAI; Grok kept its name. Since October 12, 2026 Grok is sold through The X Subscription, which bundles Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium: Free, Plus $8, Premium $30, Super $100 and Ultra $200 a month. Existing SuperGrok subscribers can keep their plan.
