Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3)
Meta describes Gen 3 as a slimmer, more comfortable design with longer battery life and a new customisable action button for instant access to Meta AI.
- Battery: up to nine hours, an hour more than Gen 2.
- Camera: 12 MP with 3K Ultra HD video, plus new dynamic photos that let you choose the best frame.
- Microphones: a new six-microphone array that Meta says cuts more than 90% of background noise on calls and voice commands.
- Fit: professional-adjustable temple tips.
- Styles: Aviator, Zena, a bold new cat-eye frame, and Wayfarer, plus a limited-edition Aviator in a vintage-inspired colourway for the 90th anniversary of the Ray-Ban Aviator.
- Privacy light: as with every generation, a built-in LED light helps people nearby know when you are taking photos or video.
- Later this year: Meta says its AI glasses will be the first consumer devices to capture and play back video in Dolby Atmos with 360-degree spatial sound.

Ray-Ban Meta Audio
Meta says audio has been its most popular feature since day one, and that Ray-Ban Meta Audio packs “the power of earbuds and AI” into its lightest and slimmest AI glasses yet.
- Weight: 43 grams, with adjustable or swappable nose pads, overextension hinges and professional-adjustable temple tips.
- Use: music, podcasts, calls that Meta says capture your voice more clearly than earbuds, and hands-free chat with your AI assistant.
- Battery: up to 12 hours on a charge, with up to 48 more from the included charging case.
- Styles: Clubmaster, a retro-inspired silhouette, and Burbank, a classic rectangle.
Meta’s announcement doesn’t mention a camera for the Audio glasses.
The wider Meta Glasses range
Meta launched Meta Glasses earlier this year with EssilorLuxottica, and the Connect update adds:
- Two new styles, Capri and Nova.
- Meta Glasses by Kylie Jenner, with a new Ivory colourway of her Starfire style, from $399.
- A LISA collection, the Meta Adventurer LISA Edition and Meta Capri LISA Edition, both supporting prescriptions, from $399.
- Meta Fury, a limited-edition clear frame with mirrored lenses, exclusive to Connect and Meta Labs at launch.
- Meta Adventurer, a black frame with grey lenses and a plug-in case, from $249, on sale October 23 in all countries where Meta Glasses are sold.
- Mix & Match, which lets you pick your frame, lenses and case colour at a Meta Lab store or online.
Where they are sold
Meta Glasses launch from September 23 in Singapore, South Korea, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates, with Brazil coming soon. Oakley Meta, Ray-Ban Meta and Ray-Ban Meta Optics follow later this year in Turkey, Poland, Portugal, Israel, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Malaysia and the Philippines.
