Google AI Plus vs Pro vs Ultra: prices, usage limits and what each plan includes

Google AI Plus, AI Pro and AI Ultra are the three paid ways to get more out of Gemini, and they bundle far more than chat limits: cloud storage, Flow credits for video, Chrome’s auto browse, Google Home Premium and more. Prices run from $4.99 to $199.99 a month. This guide compares the plans side by side using Google’s US subscription page as of September 2026.

What the free plan includes

The free Gemini plan is $0 with a Google Account. Google lists access to 3.6 Flash and varying access to 3.1 Pro, image generation and editing, Deep Research, Gemini Live, Canvas, Gems, limited access to Flow, Gemini Notebook and 15 GB of storage.

Google AI Plus: $4.99 a month

The entry plan gives you 2x higher usage limits than Free, plus features such as video generation and Daily Brief. It adds:

• 200 Flow credits for Google’s AI creative studio, with access to Gemini Omni Flash and custom tool creation.
• More access to Nano Banana in Search.
• More Audio Overviews and notebooks in Gemini Notebook.
• Gemini in Gmail, Vids and more.
• 400 GB of storage across Gmail, Drive and Photos.

Google AI Pro: $19.99 a month

Pro is the mainstream plan. It gives 4x the free usage limits and adds:

• 1,000 Flow credits.
• Google Search: higher access to Gemini 3 Pro, Deep Search and agentic capabilities.
• Coding: higher limits in Jules, Google’s asynchronous coding agent (in beta), and entry rate limits for the agent model in Google Antigravity.
• Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Vids and more.

Google AI Ultra: from $99.99 a month

Ultra comes in two levels: $99.99 a month for 5x Pro’s usage limits and $199.99 a month for 20x. It includes everything in Pro and adds:

• Up to 20x higher Gemini limits than Pro, plus first access to advanced features such as Deep Think (in select countries). Gemini Spark started as an Ultra perk, but Google’s help page now says it needs AI Pro or Ultra; see What is Gemini Spark?.
• 10,000 or 25,000 Flow credits.
• The highest access to Gemini 3 Pro in Google Search, Deep Search and agentic capabilities, and the highest limits in Jules and the Antigravity agent model (Ultra 5x has higher limits and Ultra 20x the highest).
• Google Home Premium Advanced, with 24/7 video history and event descriptions.
• The highest access to Chrome auto browse.
• Project Genie, for creating interactive worlds in real time with the Genie 3 world model, available only with Ultra.
• A YouTube Premium individual plan.
• Cloud storage starting at 20 TB.

How the usage limits work

Google says usage limits in the Gemini app are compute-based. They factor in the complexity of your prompt, the features you use and the length of your chat. Your limit refreshes every five hours until you reach a weekly limit, and you can extend it by buying AI credits. Google adds that rate limits may apply. The plan page doesn’t publish exact message counts, so the multiples (2x, 4x, 5x and 20x) are the best comparison.

Fine print

• Age: Google says its AI plans are only available for ages 18 and over.
• Availability: Google lists the plans in more than 140 countries and territories, and some features, such as Gemini Spark and Gemini 3 Pro in Search, are limited to select countries.
• Cancelling: you can cancel anytime, with no refunds for partial billing periods except as required by law.
• Prices change, so check Google’s page before you subscribe.

Which Google AI plan should you choose?

• You mainly want more Gemini and storage on a budget: AI Plus.
• You want the bundle: AI Pro. It includes Chrome auto browse, Google Home Premium Standard, Jules and Antigravity access and 5 TB of storage, so it is the natural starting point for most people.
• You generate lots of video, code all day or need Deep Think: AI Ultra, and pick the 5x or 20x level to match your usage.
