What is Siri?

Siri AI can hold back-and-forth conversations, answer questions from broad world knowledge, see what is on screen, use personal context such as messages and email, and take actions inside and across apps.

A dedicated Siri app lets people revisit earlier conversations or start new ones, and syncs those conversations privately across Apple devices through iCloud.

Apple does not charge for Siri AI at launch but has said it may charge for higher usage in future. Full Siri AI features need an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or any iPhone 16 model or later. Google has confirmed that its Gemini models help power the new Siri.
